Independent designers on Ravelry have been working really hard over the past week to pull together an awesome pre-holidays event! It’s perfect if you want to get some holiday knitting done, or just buy lovely indie patterns and win some awesome prizes!
Basically, from November 1st (when this post goes live) to November 15th, 11:59pm GMT, you can get 25% off hundreds of independently published patterns! I’ve got two patterns being tested right now. Both remind me of summer and they would be perfect knits for fall as well. Light and airy. My goal is to release them on the 23rd of this month in time for the Ravellenic games. There amy even be a special coupon code for those of you who want to buy the patterns for your Ravellenic projects!
The patterns will be sold separately and as a set. The first pattern is a beret, called Aestas (summer in Latin) and the second is a fingerless mitt pattern, with two versions, called Solis (“of the sun”). (Rav link, Rav link)

I made some cookies a few days ago and I really liked them. They are Homemade Oreos from Smitten Kitchen and the recipe is here. We delivered them to some new neighbours but I definitely kept some here! So good! I recently got the Martha Stewart cupcake book, so there should be a lot more baking around here!
