When I was visiting my parents last weekend, we got our first proper snowstorm of the year! It’s actually stayed pretty cold since, and there’s been some more snow, so it looks quite lovely outside. We’ve started decorating for Christmas a bit early this year, so the weather seems suitable! I’ll share some pictures of our Christmas decorations and our little tree in a few days.
Go here to see the rest of the photos I’ve taken at this conservation area. There wasn’t snow yet last November!
Do you have snow yet? I’d love to see a photo if you do!
I had a few days off from school at the beginning of this week, and I’ve spent the longer weekend visiting my parents. Winter seems to have made its first true appearance, so I spent most of my time indoors with a cup of tea, frantically knitting Christmas gifts… More to come later this week.
I hope you’ve all had a lovely weekend and are enjoying the snow if you got some!
A few weeks ago I went to G’s new apartment for a couple of days to help paint her room (a bright yellow!). We also squeezed in a quick visit to G’s cottage with her adorable dog Henry. It was such a beautiful day and Henry is so much fun to play with! It’s been such a strange summer here in terms of weather that I really loved when it was sunny and warm… hopefully a chillier summer isn’t a sign of things to come for this winter. Was this summer colder than usual for all of you as well?
I was in a black and white editing mood today… just some snapshots from this week. Meeting C for tea, walking home in the rain on Wednesday. Every now and again there’s a day that feels a bit like spring!
March was sort of a miserable month here. I think it snowed more days this month than it was sunny, and it felt like, well, still winter. Fortunately it looks like we are going to have a gorgeous weekend. I was about 10 degrees today and sunny… so lovely! A couple of friends and I took advantage of the nice weather and wandered around town for a bit this afternoon. Lots of shops were closed since it’s Good Friday, but many little fruit stands and the like were open in Koreatown.
In fact, to celebrate the arrival of spring, Easter weekend, and the last week of classes, I’ve decided to have a little LPOAS pattern sale! You can use the code welcomespring2013 for 15% all LPOAS patterns and ebooks for the next week. The sale ends on Friday, April 5th at midnight. If you enjoy the sale, please feel free to share the image below with your friends! Click here to go to my Ravelry store to see the patterns.
I’ve been doing a lot of knitting lately, but I can’t show you any of it because it’s all design work. Soon though! In the meantime, here are some photos from our stroll today and from Craft Club on Thursday, where we made paper flowers- perfect for spring!
I hope you all have a lovely (and warm) weekend! Happy Easter to those who celebrate it.
I’m totally stealing this idea from the lovely Karen over at Chookoolonks! I’m going to post four months worth of favourites from this year each day over the next 3 days. Each photo is linked below it to the post in which it first appeared. It’s been so much fun to sort through all of the great moments from this year- I hope you enjoy them as much as I did! This is part 2- May to August.
