New pattern: Modulation (plus a giveaway!)

I am so excited to be releasing a new design today, Modulation. From the pattern description:

Modulation is a cozy hat knit in worsted weight yarn, with a stitch pattern that is interesting to knit and fun to wear, while remaining simple enough to please even the pickiest wearer. (My 10- year old brother, in fact, has claimed the sample for himself!)

The hat is available in sizes newborn (baby, toddler, child/ adult S, Adult M/L), fitting head sizes approx. 14” (15-16”, 17-18”, 19-21”, 22-24”). The hat is designed to be snug, but is very stretchy. Please note that the smallest 3 sizes have only 1 vertical repeat of the pattern.

You can purchase the pattern on Ravelry here. For the first week (until September 28th, 2012), get 15% of the pattern by using the code modrelease2012. You can also !

I’m also going to give away a copy of the pattern here on my blog! Rather than using comments only for entires (because many people forget to leave comments for their extra entries, which is more work for me and gives you fewer chances of winning!), I’ll be trying a new system using Rafflecopter. You can earn up to 7 total entries, the first of which is to leave a comment on this blog post. All of the other methods of entering are optional. I’ll announce the winner and notify them on September 29th.

Please note: I’ve noticed a lot of people are entering by checking the comment box on Rafflecopter who haven’t actually commented… I can check who has and who hasn’t. If your name is drawn and you haven’t actually done what your said you did on Rafflecopter, I will draw another name. Play fair, people!

I can’t wait to see all of your entries! Good luck!

A new pattern (and a giveaway!)

I’m so excited to be releasing my third design! This pattern is called Bisous, and it is a lightweight hat with “x”s around the body, which converge into a star at the top. Did you know that “x”s or crosses have been used to sign letters since the medieval ages? Nowadays, the “x” represents a kiss, hence the pattern name.

The pattern is available on Ravelry here for 2.50$. But… to thank my readers, I’ll be giving away 5 (yes, five!) copies of my pattern to 5 lucky winners! You’ll receive the pattern as a gift in your Ravelry library or, if you aren’t on Ravelry, as a PDF file.

To enter, you just need to leave a comment on this post. The giveaway is open to anyone, since it’s a digital file. If you want some extra entries…

1. Use the form at the bottom of this page to subscribe to my blog (either via WordPress or e-mail). Leave me a comment letting me know.

2. Add one of my designs (see them here) to your queue on Ravelry. Leave me a comment letting me know and let me know your Ravelry username.

3. Blog about this giveaway, with a link to this post. Leave a comment letting me know and leave the link to your post.

4. Tweet about this giveaway, with a link to this post. Leave a comment letting me know and leave the link to your tweet.

This last day to enter the giveaway is Monday, April 30th, and I’ll announce the winners on Tuesday, May 1st. Good luck!

Just a note: I’m on my way out of town until Sunday, so my internet connection might be a bit shaky. I’ll approve all of the comments when I get back or have decent internet, so don’t worry about your comments not appearing!

Almost There

I haven’t made any progress on my blue Angee socks since my last post, because I’ve been wrapping up a few other things. First, I’m almost finished a project that I had set aside for awhile. You might remember it from January, when it was just missing part of a sleeve… I finally finished that sleeve and seamed everything up. I just need to buy some buttons and then it’ll be ready to wear!

If all goes according to plan, I’ll be releasing my new pattern on Saturday. I’m just knitting up another sample so that I can take lots of photos for the final version! Here’s a teaser to tide you over…

I’ll be linking up with Ginny at Small Things today.
